It's Still News

What the mass media offer is not popular art, but entertainment which is intended to be consumed like food,
forgotten and replaced by a new dish.

—W.H. Auden

About Us

In a lot of ways, today's news media works like an unfinished novel. Something "big" happens, it creates a big stir for a couple of days and then it disappears from the headlines forever. It sometimes seems as if our media is suffering from a collective case of attention deficit disorder. In the meantime, the people following the story do not get the satisfaction of knowing out how it all ends.  Sure, you can look it up on Google or Lexis-Nexis or Wikipedia, but in today's busy world, who really has the time? Well, we do!

The goal of It's Still News is to provide our readers with updates on those big news stories which were deemed relevant yesterday and which we believe are still relevant today. We track events as they unfold, dig up information wherever we can find it, and provide it to you in a convenient, condensed and (we hope!) entertaining form. This is our first site so we will have to learn as we go along, hopefully with the help of our wonderful readers.
