First, to our moms and the three or four other people who actually read this website: we deeply apologize for the recent dearth of articles. We are now back at full strength and expect the articles to start pouring in again. Thai%20Democracy.jpg

Those of you visiting our site during its first couple of months of existence may be wondering why we have given so little attention to Asia, the continent where the billions of our future masters and overlords now reside.  In all honesty, the reason is simple: we just don't know very much about it nor do we hear much about Asia in the North American media.  However, one story that took place in Asia that did register a blip on the radar and deserves some attention was the the military coup that occurred in Thailand on September 19, 2006.  Continue Reading...

The Cartoons That Launched a Jihad

I think those of us who follow the news all remember the massive controversy that arose as a result of a Danish newspaper's (Jyllands-Posten) publication of 12 satirical cartoons about the prophet Mohammed in September of 2005.  For those who have forgotten... Continue Reading

Alexander Litvinenko: Life is Stranger than Fiction

A lot of you may remember a major story about the murder of Alexander Litvinenko, a former agent for the FSB (formerly KGB) and an extremely harsh critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin. What made the Litvinenko case particularly striking was the fact that the apparent cause of his death was poisoning by Polonium-210, an extremely rare radioactive element. His accusations against the current Kremlin regime ranged... Continue Reading
